The start of the semester is a peak period that corresponds to increased load on our infrastructure combined with high levels of anxiety for incoming students. In case of unavoidable circumstance a student may discontinue semester studies before the commencement.The Competent Authority of Virtual University of Pakistan has allowed an option to enrolled Certificate Course students to drop the course or freeze the semester.

However, following University fee shall be charged upon enrollment in next semester in order to activate dropped course (s) or to continue next semester

If you want to freeze your spring 2010 then you are requested to note that an interface for semester freeze will be provided to the all VU students at their VULMS "under the student services" link well before the Commencement of spring 2010 the students will have the option to freeze/unfreeze his/her semester himself/ herself.

So anyone who wants to freeze the semester for spring 2010 follow the said link provided by Virtual University at “student’s services” link. According to University rules, a student can discontinue his/her studies for one semester at a time or have to re-submit application for semester freeze. Therefore, you have to continue your studies w.e.f. fall 2010. You will be mailed your new VULMS password at least a week before the commencement of fall 2010 through an email at your VU mail account.

You can follow the procedure :
	Log on to your VULMS.
	In your LMS, click on the "student's services" link.
	Click on the semester freeze link provided under the heading of "Registrar office".
	A new window will open here; write the reason for freeze of your semester.
	Click the freeze button.
